My holiday snaps

Leaving our friends near Chateaubriand we are on our way to visit a cousin of Mrs Gutteridge. She lives alone in a village near Cognac. It's called Critueil la mMagdelenie or somthing like that.

I like the vines, Chad...reminds me of the seasonal work I did as a teen.
Chad: I agree Ray, I love seeing vines.
It reminds me of Napa Valley a bit.
Chad: I love fields of vines.
Is this where the phrase 'crossroads' comes from I wonder Andrew ?
Chad: Ha ha good one Frank.
Astrid and I visited the village of Cognac back in 2010, Chad, so who knows...we may have passed something just like this...but without taking a snap of it. Thank YOU for doing it.
Chad: Well these ARE my holiday snaps Ginnie.

I think you just follow the sign to the right and follow your nose... you will find the cousin somewhere.
I see the wine is almost in the bottle...
We were in the area like Ginnie mentioned, we came from the village of Montaigu-de-Quercy.....
Chad: We spent two nights at the cousin’s place. I needed to help her put up a small piece of ceiling.

Did you know there is a tended roadside shrine between Bradford-on-Avon and Rode?
Chad: Yes I did Lisl, I used to pass it every day when I worked at Copenacre. There was also a dog that lived on the cross by the name of Winston, he even appeared on local television.
You have friends and relations across the globe it seems Chad

Even as far away as Droitwich
Chad: Droitwich is best, but I can stand the rain.

A carfree day? - the climate activists might be happy to see these streets.
Chad: It was rather quiet as you say Philine.
I believe roadside crosses like, that one are quite common.
Chad: They seem to be in France.
Nice landmark for giving directions. being a man though, you might be wondering what directions are. smile
Chad: Not at all, they are what one's wife gives you.
good shot Chad... the cross is there for you to pray that you going in the right way....petersmile
Chad: Right was right too Peter.
Nice to have friends and relations in places like this!
Chad: I agree whole heartedly.
