The overall effect of this composition is extremely pleasing Chad. You may have inadvertently found a new art form!
gutteridge: How exciting.

You are breaking the limits of photography changing it into a kind of abstract or concrete art! The part of glasswindow, i.e. the outlook to the trees..., might be a bit larger, i.e. more green- less grey! Interesting artistic experiment!
gutteridge: Thank you Philine. I shall continue to experiment.
I like this. No really, I like this very much
gutteridge: You have made my Christmas.
I feel like wiping the window to discover what is beyond!
gutteridge: It is a little like that.
Somehow very pleasing, despite the scibbles (or because of them?)
gutteridge: Whichever way, who cares as long as it pleases.
Perhaps this could be a piece of very modern, not to say abstract, stained glass work, with a normal old garden tree showing behind.
gutteridge: Perhaps you are right Sheila.
I thought this was a dartboard from the thumbnail Chad. Behind the artistic licence this looks to be a nice bit of cathedral.
gutteridge: It is a fine, if small, chuch turned cathedral

As I saw your pic today, I recalled my visit of the church "Dominus Flevit", a small Fransciscan church located on the upper western slope of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Dominus Flevit Church is believed to mark the place where Jesus' mourning over Jerusalem occurred. From there you have a view of Jerusalem through the glasswindows- heavenly! As I saw you pic, I looked for the walls and the Golden Gate of Jerusalem, but I discovered only trees and a bridge- but in my imagination I can see Jerusalem, really!
gutteridge: I once took a day trip to Israel (two night cruise from Cyprus) but did not see this church. It was a fascinating trip and I wish I could have seen more. We heard a bomb go off in the port of Haifa when we arrived but it was in calmer days.
