White week

Hello and welcome to WHITE WEEK. It is not, as you might imagine, a week long series. No, it extends further but I liked the title WHITE WEEK. This is all about the 6th of 7 dollops of snow that the Garden of Eden, or Syde as we like to call it, had dished out to us this Winter.

Barbed wire with snow.

The weekend competition - Now in its 50th year.

A clear winner this week is C Phillips of England who came up with the novel comment - 'no Comments'. No comments, that is so funny, much funnier than 'no comment'.

R Trim - Creeping does not work with the judges.

Mrs Polder - Your comments are as gracious as ever.

W J Phillips - If you do as you suggest you might find yourself on the wrong side of the law.

Ayush - Your vision is 20:20

Louis - An enjoyable poem.

Mr Larry - Is right.

Begs the question "Why is there no snow on the barbed wire?", Chad.
gutteridge: It fell off when I sneezed Ray.
I like this one!
gutteridge: Thank you Elizabeth.
This is a first for me, Chad...snow on barbed wire. I declare!
gutteridge: There is a first time for everything eh Ginnie.

I like this one very much, however I have to agree with Ray, no snow on the barbed wire, Chad. I told you to "tip toe" in the snow.....now it fell off....
gutteridge: Yes I sneezed Astrid.

Oh dear. I cannot take much more of this Chad, another DECENT PICTURE from you!

Following great discussion my weekend tweak-team came up with the winning comment. I have bought them all a bottle of bubbly to celebrate the event..
gutteridge: Thank you for the vote of approval Tiff.

Natures ability to be aesthetic with its sculptures.
Mr Phillips appears to have been very generous with a purchase of a bottle of” bubble Bath”
gutteridge: I think you misunderstood him Richard, it is those bubbles that you blow through a small hoop.

Richard Trim is repeating himself today

Not unusual

Excellent snap
gutteridge: Thank you Bill. I shan’t complain about repeat comments as they help push me towards the summit.

Great shot. See what happens when one hangs the washing in cold weather.
gutteridge: It freezes?
Your snowfall was very photogenic, Chad. It must have been delightful for you.
gutteridge: It was very exciting Mary, I expect it nonpluses you.
Snow scenes don't come much more interetsing than this.
gutteridge: It was a gift Brian.

i would not be able to resist the temptation to reach out with my finger and write down something on the smooth mound, Chad.
gutteridge: Then I hope that one day you get the opportunity Ayush.

the snow made a terrific pattern as it fell from the webbed wire
gutteridge: Yes it really did. Thanks Sherri.
