Checking on the PIGS

This series covers a tour of two of the PIGS (As Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain were known as after the 2008 financial crisis), Spain and Portugal, in my Le Camping Car

A site never seen in England in hot weather (subject to availability). People fully clothed on the beach.

There is something a little weird about this...
gutteridge: Everyone fully dressed perhaps?

Could be Thai tourists...Thai folks wear all their normal clothes on the beach and even in the water.
gutteridge: They were not from Siam Ray. Bus loads of tourists are brought here each day.

Superbes plages.
gutteridge: Magnifique.
But... what do you consider hot weather?
gutteridge: Anything over 24 Celsius .

It really is strange to see these fully clothed persons on the beach Chad, a lot of them dressed in red
gutteridge: A far nicer view that all that blubbery flesh we often see at the coast.

Oh dear no.. move swiftly on. Far too many people. I wonder if they thought it was Durdle Door?
gutteridge: Dursley Door is envious of el duedle douro Alan. This beach, and car park, is packed all day long. We stayed the night in our camper, which is when I got the deserted pictures
It happens in the winter when all the grockles have gone home and left the beaches to the locals to walk their dogs
gutteridge: But this day was very warm Bill.

The rocky door could be in South- England - what a crowd of people looking like ants at the beach - a fascinating triptych!
gutteridge: Thank you Philine, another view of this world heritage site.

I saw half- naked people in England even at rather chilly weather.
gutteridge: The English are mad.

  • Suffolk : where the sun rises first in England

People on Suffolk beaches are clad in warm clothing for all but a few days in the year.
gutteridge: I can image, a frightfully chilly part of the world.
I can understand this if they are there for only a short time. Looks like a very nice beach as afore mentioned. I like this tryptic with the descriptionb in the center.
gutteridge: Many thanks Mary.
It is a fine looking beach, totally different to the Brighton beach over which all our media seems to go crazy over. Whatever the weather these days Maureen and I never get into beachware any more.
gutteridge: I am glad I don't have to do that nonsense any more.
Ah, the coach trip explains things.
gutteridge: Yes it does rather Tom. I suppose the locals also, don't see this as a place for sunbathing but as a world heritage site to visit and photograph.
