Cette église est très belle et originale.
gutteridge: Yes, an imposing design, and perhaps a bit like Southern France.

Nice church, Chad...but that footpath really has my attention with its foot thick concrete!
gutteridge: Perhaps they don't wish their pathway to be destroyed in an earthquake Ray.
Churches are never small in Mexico!
gutteridge: So it seems, many thanks for the comment Elizabeth.

It completely dominates even the sturdiest of the local women Chad
gutteridge: Even the path, as Ray pointed out, is sturdy Tiff. These people would be well suited to building a wall.

What a marvellous building built of rubble-stone, Chad
gutteridge: I agree Lisl, it is.
Rainy season will change the look here soon. My daughter is returning from Mexico today and it rained most of the day yesterday where she was.
gutteridge: Interesting that you have a daughter in Mexico Mary.
I rather like this building and you caught those two ladies in just the right spot for the picture.
gutteridge: Many thanks Brian.
those windows are quite some way up, Chad. i wonder if there is sufficient natural illumination in there.
gutteridge: It did not seem a problem when we were inside Ayush.
Good sidewalk-idge...
gutteridge: Good and sturdy Larry.
It looks different from the side Chad
gutteridge: So do I.
Looks as though the church might be bigger than the town!
gutteridge: Ha ha yes, good point Tom.

Did you go inside the church. It looks like it is very dark inside, seen those small windows..
gutteridge: Yes I did Astrid and I showed one picture during the week.

Its a fine structure but looks to be in the middle of war zone. Perhaps the area is part of "work in progress"?
gutteridge: War zone? I think you meant wall zone.
