i liked your rhyme, Chad. i like the orientation of the clouds, very wind swept like.
gutteridge: It was a glorious day thank you Ayush.
A very nice comp with the lamppost mimicking the the spire!
gutteridge: Thank you Elizabeth, you spotted what caught my eye.

Joli point de vue sur le lampadaire et le clocher.
gutteridge: They were made for each other when I saw them Martine.
LOL, Chad. I like your humor AND your "aspirations." smile
gutteridge: You are too kind Ginnie, but I like it.

I can only assume the building with a tower is a church Chad. It all looks very lovely
gutteridge: Your assumption is correct Tiff, and I thank you for your approval.

Good to look up, Chad. But you haven't found much gutteridge lately
gutteridge: Others, namely Philine, have out-gutteridged me in the photosnap stakes Lisl. I am in a ten year sulk.

Sehr true, mein Sir. This is what I like about the old cities - that they have very few high rises. Four stories on top and that is it.
gutteridge: Absolutely Louis, long may that remain.

I know where we are - and I have been in this church for a concert - the Michaelerkirche in Wien! Loden Plankl is a well- known shop! You know the German word 'Loden'?
gutteridge: No, I did not know Philine, but I yahood it and have the answer of a heavy woolen cloth.

That is a rather spiffing spire, Squire!
gutteridge: Rather old boy.
You were leaning on a lamppost on the corner of the street
in cas a certain little lady came by
gutteridge: Erm, after reading Louis' description of the streets on Vienna I am not sure that I would agree with your comment.

'Jij kan rijmen en dichten zonder jouw hemd op te lichten'.....
Free translation: 'You can rhyme and making poems without lifting your shirt'....
I am so impressed with Philine, she is our walking Wikipedia...
I love the picture too!!!
gutteridge: Thank you Astrid, although I had a very short panic when I read your word 'shirt' as 'skirt'
Your composition is powerful.
gutteridge: I think I would agree with you.
Blue sky, church tower and a lamppost, it's got the lot as far as I'm concerned.
gutteridge: No water though Brian.

Two fine pointy things. You'll get a stiff neck trying to read the time on the church spire.
gutteridge: Perhaps that’s why the wrist watch was invented Alan.
Das ist certainly true - we haven't seen a sky like that all summer!
gutteridge: I had to go abroad to find one.
